What are you wearing right now? Did you have breakfast? If so, what did you eat? What will you have for dinner? Where will you go today? Maybe you are telling yourself. I don’t have a choice of what I will wear or eat but that can change!

You say I only have a few places to go because I am stuck in jail. It is true, but you can choose if you stay in your cell, on your bed, or socialize with others.

Although you may feel restricted, you still have the power to choose. Always pay attention to your decisions and let them guide you correctly. If you make poor decisions, who can you blame? It was your decision, and you made it. There is a free power that all human beings have: decision. One man used that power wisely and reaped great results through it.

“But Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my possessions to the poor. And if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I will repay him four times as much.” (Luke 19:8)

Who told him to do this? No one! He knew his life and the wrong things he was doing and decided to change. What about you? I am sure you understand the things you need to change, and I will not tell you because it’s your decision. But I can assure you that the Lord Jesus will help you when you decide to change.

After Zacchaeus chose to fix things, Jesus immediately spoke highly of him and his decision. Plus, guess what? He wants to talk positively of you too. All you have to do is make the correct decisions. You can also choose to make an evident change in your life.
