What Does Prophecy Mean? What Is Prayer?
Prophecy is when someone speaks into existence what has not yet been seen. Prayer is a request for help, or it can be a form of gratitude to give thanks to God.
Now, what happens when the two come together? Power. On Friday, May 10th, in the Valley Unit, Bishop Bira Joshua prophesied (spoke into existence) to the mothers who were incarcerated that this would be their last Mother’s Day behind bars.
The word of God says that the spirit of the prophet is subject to the prophet. What does this mean? Whatever the prophet prophecies, he is subject to that prophecy he has performed.
When the Bishop prophesied for these women that it would be the last, he already believed in his prophecy, and the same is true for those ladies who received the word; they must also believe in the prophecy that they heard that day.
The prayer? The prayer was made for those mothers who have been incarcerated and mothers who have been behind bars for years or even weeks without their children. A mother’s love and pain for their children never changes; they want to be with their child but cannot for now.
So, they had their moment to pray to the Father and ask for unity, to pray to the Father and ask for restoration and healing from the pain, and to pray on behalf of their family. The ladies present received a prayer of faith from the Pastor’s wives; they sought God’s presence and declared their peace.
Many of the ladies present cried, poured out their souls before God, released a lot of pain they held onto, guilt that had been in them for many years, and left that prayer free.
The UBB also went to the dorms to pray with the inmates, who could not be part of the prayer we had together. There are no boundaries; the UBB goes wherever they are needed. The ladies in their dorms also received a prayer and prophecy of faith to boost their spirits.
So, they had their moment to pray to the Father and ask for unity, to pray to the Father and ask for restoration and healing from the pain, and to pray on behalf of their family.
The UBB has the utmost certainty that the prophecy and prayer have called the attention of God, and the manifestation of His power will be seen very soon in the lives of these ladies.
They also received the word of faith, not to worry about others’ opinions but to look to the blessing that comes from our Lord Jesus because His timing and opinion are what matter most.
