The evening began with the prayer for the 65 graduates of the Overcoming Anger class, both from the main building and the Bootcamp.
Testimonies were taken from men who saw changes in themselves after participating in the class. One of the inmates expressed how he could forgive a family member after 19 years of holding a grudge.
He also stated that even his health improved after deciding to forgive. His blood pressure returned to normal, and he no longer has an irregular heartbeat.
Bishop Joshua began the service in faith to uplift the men and show them how evil spirits work to manipulate a person. He then called forward those who had children in prison, prayed for them and their children’s deliverance, and prayed as well for the salvation of the more than 250 inmates present in the gym.
The bishop gave the word of salvation for them to become a new man through the Holy Spirit based on 1 Samuel 10:6. The Lord’s supper was served, and the Holy Spirit was sought with the men. The call was made for water baptism based on Mark 16:16, and nine men decided to put off the old life and become new.
At the end of the service, the graduates of the Overcoming Anger class were served a hot meal with dessert. There was enough food for them to have seconds as well.
