Some people are known for the problems they have or misfortunes that have happened to them. The curve balls life throws at us are inevitable.

We can’t control some things, and finding a reason or someone to blame for our miseries is just a waste of time.

A better approach is to decide not to be a victim.

Unfortunately, most people who suffer significant blows in life default to the why-me/poor-me attitude.

They feel entitled to pity and special treatment from everyone around them because they have been victims of nasty things.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying we shouldn’t show compassion or be incredibly kind to people who suffer.

If those people use it as a crutch (and it’s so easy to do), these pleasant feelings will become a trap for them.

When you decide you won’t be a victim, you take your life and destiny into your own hands. You are determined to use every resource you can tap into to fight back instead of lying back.

God is one of these resources. He said: “I live in the high and holy places, but also with the low-spirited, the spirit-crushed, And what I do is put new spirit in them, get them up and on their feet again.” (Isaiah 57:15)
