Officers Appreciation, Intellimen Graduation, and Open Call Service at the Luther UnitIn the month of February, UBB held many outreach events. February 14th, 2024, was a jam-packed day for the inmates and officers of the Luther Unit. The event began with a prayer by Bishop Joshua for the officers and staff. The UBB volunteers served each of them with a meal and dessert. The officers expressed much appreciation for the lunch and the consideration given by the UBB.

Officers Appreciation, Intellimen Graduation, and Open Call Service at the Luther UnitWe know that correctional staff and officers deal with high stress levels and face many challenges as they perform their duties. Our goal is to help them better handle stress and find the emotional balance needed to perform well at work.

Also, there was a graduation of 51 inmates from the classes of Voyagers, Quest for Authentic Manhood, and IntelliMen.

They each received a certificate to recognize their efforts and hard work when they attended classes and were also served a hot meal, drinks, and desserts. There was food for the inmates to have second and third rounds.

Officers Appreciation, Intellimen Graduation, and Open Call Service at the Luther UnitThese classes are geared to help inmates know God and develop a faith that moves mountains. They are encouraged to come sincerely to God, open their hearts, and create a relationship with Him. They are also taught how to fight back against the negativity that they feel is blocking them in any way through the power of faith. The classes also offer practical tips on how to get back on track.

Officers Appreciation, Intellimen Graduation, and Open Call Service at the Luther UnitThe UBB didn’t stop there; they had an open call service, and 140 men were present. They anticipated this service and were blessed with a powerful word, hearing about Jesus and knowing Him personally.

They were all served the Lord’s Supper, and 26 men decided to be baptized in water. They all received a free Study Bible donated, which they were very excited to have. Bishop Joshua took the time to teach them how to read the Bible and ensure that the word of God was a priority in their lives.
