Hygiene Kits Distribution at the Holliday UnitOn Friday, December 22, 2023. In a gesture of love and solidarity, the UBB held another major Hygiene distribution at the Holliday Unit, approximately 81 miles from Houston. From time to time, the UBB organizes similar events in different prisons, promoting the distribution of Bibles, personal hygiene, books, and more.

Seeking not only to alleviate the physical conditions of inmates but also to offer a message of hope and faith, Bishop Bira Fonseca led a team in delivering personal hygiene kits for Holliday Unit inmates.

Hygiene Kits Distribution at the Holliday UnitIn this event, 2100 inmates benefitted, each receiving a kit containing two bars of soap, two kinds of toothpaste, and deodorant. The UBB didn’t stop there. They went to nine other prison units from December 18 to December 22 during that week.

In total, about 5,000 benefitted from this massive distribution. The event began in the morning, with the distribution of the kits, followed by a meeting in the prison gym. During the meeting, Bishop Bira addressed crucial issues, highlighting the power of the word in people’s lives.

Mentioning Proverbs 18:21, the Bishop emphasized: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue; what well uses it eats its fruit.”

In an inspiring message, he emphasized the importance of uttering words of positivity about yourself, and through faith, you can break curses generated by the negative words spoken by others.

The message was directed to all those present, offering material relief through hygiene kits and an impact of hope and faith for those in isolation.

As Bishop Bira Joshua highlighted, the Word of God is a powerful tool to transform lives, providing consolation, hope, and the possibility of a new perspective, even amid the adversities in prison.

The event at Holliday Unit benefitted the inmates physically and left a seed of positivity and faith in their hearts, fueling the hope of a better future.
