Earlier in September, the UBB held its Hygiene Distribution! The gym was too small to hold all the men who wanted to attend, and the officers had to turn back more than half the unit who came out of the dorms ready to be blessed.
The event started in faith with the work of deliverance for those who were bound by addictions. A challenge was made to call forward those who wanted to be free, based on the word of God that says,
“Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; The snare is broken, and we have escaped.” (Psalms 124:7)
After the prayer of deliverance, the men were encouraged to use the power of ‘no’ to make sure they did not fall back into the traps of the devil.
The 203 men in attendance were very encouraged by the shout-out given by Bishop Joshua, and after, they valued the moment to seek the Holy Spirit. Following the seeking, a call was made for those who decided to surrender to the Lord Jesus through water baptism, where 30 men gave their lives to God.
After the service, the volunteers, accompanied by Chaplain Barnes, went to each dorm to give the hygiene kits one by one. We all then went to the Trusty Camp and completed the distribution.
