We are living in the age of knowledge. With just a few clicks or even through artificial intelligence, we can learn about almost anything in seconds. People spend hours watching podcasts, sermons, or motivational talks online.
But what do we actually see happening? Not people becoming wiser or more spiritually grounded. Instead, we see people overloaded with information and knowledge, but often feeling more important than they really are because of it. Yet when it comes time actually to apply that knowledge, especially in real-life struggles, many still cannot overcome their personal battles.
It is one thing to know what is right. It is another thing to live it out, especially behind bars, where every day brings its own challenges: anger, regret, temptation, loneliness, pride. So here is the challenge: From all the knowledge you have gained, whether from reading, conversations, programs, or even your own reflections, choose at least one small thing to live out today.
Just one ounce from the mountain of wisdom you have received. Maybe it is forgiveness. Maybe it is patience. Maybe it is holding your tongue when you are ready to explode. Whatever it is, put it into action. If this message speaks to you, do not keep it to yourself. Share it with someone who might need it too.
Don’t be overly righteous, neither make yourself overly wise. Why should you destroy yourself? (Ecclesiastes 7:16)
